Heather Wine - Associate

Heather joined RMI and registered as an NFA broker in 1995 just as the NYMEX energy markets were starting to evolve. At that time her responsibilities covered all facets of brokerage servicing, including all daily transactional activities, customer support, and back office duties. As the markets matured, Heather’s function became more focused. Today Heather specializes in market analysis and works with an extensive range of energy clients helping them execute complex hedge strategies using the latest industry pricing tools.

• As RMI’s liaison to NYMEX representatives for new product information, Heather serves as a knowledge base for RMI utility clients initiating NYMEX OTC Clearing procedures.
• Has facilitated four large utilities with the registration, implementation, and execution of NYMEX Over-the-Counter Transactions.
• Fundamental analyst of energy related commodities with a focus on natural gas.
• Oversees accounts and executes orders for over 38 utilities and energy intensive-industrial companies across the US.
• Assists utility risk departments with their hedge strategies including formulation and execution.
• Functions as liaison between traders and exchange floor brokers at two different exchanges.
• Presents education workshops on the analysis of natural gas market fundamentals to utility staff and their energy-intensive industrial customers.
• Has supplied step-by step guidance in establishing risk management brokerage operations for over 25 new RMI customer accounts.
