Bridgette Proffitt - Associate

In early 2010, Bridgette came to RMI with six years of experience in the energy trading industry. Her extensive background in hedging physical natural gas and electricity with financial products proves her to be an important part of the RMI team. Prior to joining RMI, Bridgette was a term speculative ERCOT trader with a 7,100 Megawatt utility in the Midwest.

• Marketed and traded physical and financial products in multiple RTO’s, including PJM, MISO, SPP, ERCOT, EES and TVA.
• Developed successful trading/marketing strategies on a real time basis in the Eastern Interconnect using virtual, physical and financial products using current and past trends in the marketplace.
• Built and established meaningful, professional relationships with new and existing counterparties.
• Aided in implementing a successful training course for new employees, speeding the process and increasing profitability.
• Worked closely with dispatchers and plant managers to design trading strategies to meet their objectives and goals. Determined the most profitable approach given market conditions, regulatory requirements, client’s risk tolerance and plant conditions.
